It's Novel Writing Month Again, and this time around, its a novel my Dad suggested...
Sorry friends of "The Age of Adventure" series! As anxious as I am to finish the trilogy, I took on a different novel this time around.
In 2008, while cycling with my father he let me know of a novel idea that was tooling around in his head for some time. It was an adventure story taking place in Celtic Britain just after the Romans left. He had it mostly figured out, with characters, plot, and story arc. And he wanted me to take a crack at it.
Well, when your Father asks you to write his novel,.. who can say no?
Understanding that we're all getting a little older, I knew I had to give it a shot. So shot it is being given.
I'm already up to 4000 words... all but fifty of which will be cut in the final draft, but it feels good to render his hand written notes into 10 typed pages of the story Bible, and get cracking.
How is your novel going this year?
